Thomas Cheng & Co, established in 1998
has a diversified practice as to both the type of clients we service and the wide
array of services we provide. Our business clients range in size from publicly
traded international companies to a soleproprietor or small family owned operating
in various industries. We advise these clients in areas of business start-up,
tax planning and compliance, financial statement assurance, debt financing, business
related and consultancy services. Our individual clients consist mainly of high
net worth individuals for whom we provide tax planning and compliance services
for salary, profits, property and estate taxes.
We possess highly trained managers and staff that are required to attend regularly
scheduled seminars conducted by outside experts. We take particular pride in our
extensive research networks and our ability to keep abreast of new developments
in all areas of taxation and accounting.
During our years of practice we have developed a vast network of professional
relationships with attorneys, bankers, investment advisors and managers, consultancy
intermediates, venture capitalists, government officials and insurance brokers.

The following are brief backgrounds of the firm's partners
and senior team members:
Thomas Cheng, CPA is a founding partner of the firm.
He has extensive experience in all areas of auditing
and tax consulting. Thomas has been an associate/fellow
member of a number of professional bodies, namely, ATIHK,
FCCA, AHKSA, AHKSI and AHKIM. In addition, he regularly
attends courses given by Hong Kong Society of Accountants,
Hong Kong Institute of Taxation, etc. He is active in
consulting on company secretaries and all other areas
of business planning. Prior to founding the firm, Thomas
was a senior in a major international accounting firm.
Andrew Hung, CPA (non-practicing) is a founding principal of the firm. Andrew
has a Masters of Applied Finance, he also has over eleven years of public experience
in all areas of auditing, banking and accounting. Prior to joining the firm, he
worked at an international investment bank.
Cynthia Yik is our audit senior supervisor, her experience includes all aspects
of financial statement assurances (audits, reviews and compiliations) for both
profit and non-profit entities. In addition, she has extensive experience in areas
of tax planning and compliance.
Vicki Chow, our company secretary supervisor, is responsible
for all company start-up and business centre's services
issues.
